Who is Mac Park?

Mac Park is the pen-name of Susannah (MAC) McFarlane and Louise PARK, two of Australia’s most successful children’s publishers and writers.

Susannah and Louise are the authors, creators, editors and publishers of some of Australia’s most successful children’s book series. Books written or published by Susannah and Louise have sold over ten million books in Australia alone.

With over twenty years experience in children’s publishing and the mother of a previously very reluctant reader Susannah understands the importance of giving kids stories they want to read and books they want to pick up. Susannah is the author of the awarding-winning EJ12 Girl Hero and EJ Spy School series and the Little Mates series of alphabet books for under fives (all Scholastic Australia). Susannah was also the publisher and concept creator of Go Girl! and Zac Power and is the series editor for Stuff Happens! (Penguin Random House Australia).

Louise has taught primary school children of all ages, trained teachers in literacy education, developed and published successful reading resources to help children crack the reading code, and written books that have ignited a love of stories and reading. She is the author of the best-selling Harriet Clare (Hinkler Books), Zac Power Test Drives (Hardie Grant Egmont), Bella Dancerella and Star Girl.

Susannah and Louise are both passionate about getting kids reading and particularly concerned about getting our young boys reading. Having already collaborated on Zac Power and Zac Power Test Drives, they joined forces as Mac Park to create Boy vs Beast, a series aimed at the early and very reluctant reader.

Now, with over 500,000 Boy vs Beast books sold, Mac Park is back with D-Bot Squad!
